Saint Leo University is a private, non-profit Catholic university located in Saint Leo, which is about 35 miles north of Tampa. Most students at Saint Leo, however, participate in the schools very extensive online program, rather than attending schools in person, on campus.

Saint Leo was Florida’s first Catholic college, and has a history of being very forward thinking. Saint Leo racially integrated its campus when it was illegal to do so way back in 1898. Saint Leo was one of the first schools to develop a distance learning program and they now have a very active virtual campus in Second Life.
