Florida College System

The Florida College System consists of 28 institutions referred to either as community colleges or, when they grant four-year degrees themselves, state colleges or simply “colleges.”

An individual who graduates with an Associate of Arts degree from a college in the Florida College System is guaranteed admission to one of the state universities in Florida, though not necessarily the institution of the student’s choosing.

All of the colleges in the Florida College System practice open admissions, meaning all applicants are admitted as long as they graduated high school or have a GED.
